Soon they are in over their heads. Tragedies happen, leaving them confused. Can they handle working with the Finder? Most of all, can they trust him?

My Review

This novel has a very strong faith message. It almost reads like an extension of the New Testament. The strong faith message is the central pillar with the suspense plot revolving around it. Both Jake and Tarina exhibit the kind of faith that can stop the mouths of lions, or the attacks of villains. Tarina especially hears from God and in that way helps find felons. God is the finder. He communicates through dreams or recurring images to give the needed information.

There are some serious issues covered in this novel. Trafficking is a big one. Different ways teens might be lured into trouble is explored. The issues of losing confidence and battling depression when victory is not evident is also addressed.

This novel reads like a modern edition of the Book of Acts. It is very encouraging as people actually living out their faith are portrayed. It is also a serious book, showing the reality of spiritual warfare in this era.

My rating: 4/5 stars.
