Some of
the habits were expected, like making being in God's Word a priority.
I knew she would have lots to say about disciplined thoughts too. But
there were some surprises, like building a habit of generosity,
blessing other people. And then there was the habit of contentment.
That one is a challenge in this consumer focused society.
I love
that Meyer is so practical. She gives great instruction on developing
the habits. Knowing that forgiveness may be difficult, for example,
she gives specific steps. First, generate the desire, then make the
decision, and finally depend upon the Holy Spirit.
This is
a great book for women who want to build their life on spiritual
habits, a life pleasing to God. You'll get plenty of encouragement
and lots of practical strategy to get you on the path.
