My Review
Mentoring
another is something each of us can do. You don't have to have a
license or a special degree. It doesn't have to fit into a prescribed
program. Ziebarth gives readers the encouragement and information
needed to begin changing lives through mentoring. It does require a
commitment and you must be willing to allow your life to be seen as
an example, she writes. She also warns us that suffering may be
involved as we share in the lives of others.
Ziebarth
provides many different ways of doing mentoring and identifies the
characteristics of effective mentoring. She includes practical ideas. She quotes from several books and one
could study further with any one of them. She also provides sample
lesson plans for mentoring meetings and lists many more resources.
Many originate with The Navigators ministry.
This
is a good book for personal or group use. Ziebarth has included
questions throughout for personal thought or group discussion. If you
have a desire to change a life, this book will get you started doing so, containing everything you need.
