The Bible Recap Discussion Guide by Tara-Leigh Cobble Book Review

I have really liked The Bible Recap program. The first time through I just listened to the podcast. Then I got the book. Next I used the study guide along with my reading. While I thoroughly enjoyed all of these experiences, it was pretty much a solo adventure.

I am happy to see this discussion guide with weekly questions for group use. The format follows The Bible Recap reading plan. While there are references to the contents of The Bible Recap book, it could be used by people who just read the Scripture and listen to the podcast. A list of the Scriptures to be read daily is provided at the beginning of the book.

The questions in this discussion guide are more general and open ended than the study guide. Participants are often asked about feelings or opinions rather than specific facts. The more reflective questions should make for good discussion.

This discussion guide covers the whole year of reading through the entire Bible. That means the last twelve weeks cover the entire New Testament. While there are some resources suggestion, there are no specific ideas for small group leaders so this is best used by someone already familiar with leading a discussion.

This discussion guide is another good resource in helping Christians both stay in the word daily and spend time sharing ideas with others.

My rating: 4/5 stars.
