My review:
This
book contains a good selection of encouraging stories of people who
have faced difficult times and experienced God's grace. The stories
are good examples of people turning negative situations into positive
ones as a result of that grace. The stories are grouped around topics
so one can read the ones that are of particular interest. Sievert
often includes a few paragraphs of information about the situations,
such as addiction, abuse or illness. Encouraging Scripture verses are
included as well as questions for personal reflection.
These
are good stories of people who reached out to God for help. Many of
them evidence the transforming power of God's grace. A couple of the
stories included receiving messages from or seeing people who had
died. I found those stories a little troubling. Other than that,
however, a good book with encouraging stories of people experiencing
grace from God.
My rating: 4/5 stars
