All to Jesus by Robert J. Morgan

Years ago when Morgan was looking in the Bible for encouragement, he was stopped by 1 Peter 5:7. He was to cast all his cares on Him. Morgan realized God specifically said all. Nothing was excluded. God was concerned about every problem, large or small.
Realizing he had missed the all inclusive nature of that verse, he wondered if there were others he had overlooked. He realized God's frequent use of the word in the Bible spoke to His all sufficient grace.
Morgan selected 365 of the verses containing “all” to create this devotional. Let me give you a few of the daily messages I found particularly meaningful to me.
On Psalm 71:8, including this: “Our attitudes are more important than our circumstances.”
The devotion on Romans 3:23-24 includes an invitation to salvation.
From the day on Acts 15:12: “It doesn't depend on our personalities, gifts, skills, or looks. Any old faucet will convey water so long as it is connected with the source.”
On 1 Corinthians 10:31: “All of life is doxology.”
Morgan has included some very familiar passages, like Romans 8:28. One day highlights what Proverbs says about financial management. He even has a devotional on God's wrath and Romans 1:18.
Morgan includes lots of short stories and personal experiences to illustrate the principles highlighted in each devotional.
Something else I like about the book is that the days are numbered, not dated. That means you can begin the devotional at any time with Day 1.

Added features at the end of the book include a link to free hymn downloads and a small group study on some of the verses highlighted in the devotional. The hymns were selected to go along with the devotional as a source for worship. The study aids provide leader notes and conversation questions for key verses in the devotional.

This is a great devotional. Although short, the daily readings are motivating and encouraging.

Robert Morgan is pastor of The Donelson Fellowship in Nashville, Tennessee, where he has served for more than thirty years. He is a best-selling and award-winning author of numerous books. He is also a frequent conference speaker. He and his wife have three daughters and ten grandchildren.
