My Review

I liked this romantic mystery. I liked the crazy heroine, Sophie. Her character was developed well. There were times when I laughed out loud. Sophie gets knocked out by a suspected murderer, groggily comes to on her kitchen floor and thinks, “I need to clean under the cabinets.” (2192/3911) She wonders at one point if God loves the quirky ones. I'm glad He does.

The plot was very complex. So complex, I am not sure it all worked. Even a couple of the characters say they never contacted the police because they thought their story was too convoluted to be believed. (3562/3911) Even after the lengthy explanation of it all at the end I am not sure I understand it.

Nonetheless, I enjoyed the novel enough that I will be looking for the next in this series. This one was good for a laugh and kept me mostly engaged to the end.
