I
am generally not a fan of romance novels but I really liked this one.
It was realistic, dealing with some serious issues. It was not simple
nor overly sweet. I connected with the characters right away.
I
don't know how Cote packed so much into this short novel. There were
divorce and remarriage issues as well as marriage relationships in
general. There was hurt from the past that needed healing. There were
misunderstandings that needed straightening out. Compassion and
forgiveness were needed. There was even a bit of a mystery as a
hacker was creating havoc for a hospital.
This
is a good novel for readers who like some depth to their Christian
romance novels. You'll see some real life situations with characters
who struggle, trying making sense of their feelings. You'll meet a
couple of young boys who are the sweetest kids. You'll see the
healing brought to pass by trusting God.
My
rating: 4/5 stars.
