My review:

This is a pleasant novel for readers of light Christian romance. It is not a mystery as we know the identity of the bad fellow early on. The main characters do experience danger and suspense, however. The villain is cast as a really terrible individual and it almost seemed too much. It seemed impossible he could get away with his extreme behavior. I had trouble being captivated by Ellie and Owen, the heroine and hero of the story. They were reactionary, often not thinking through their actions. Both were in painful situations in their lives and were struggling. While the end had the typical romantic conclusion, there were many troubling issues in their lives that are left hanging. This is a good novel for readers who enjoy a light romantic suspense and don't mind if complex issues in a relationship are not resolved in the end.

Howdy, friends! I am so thrilled to be galloping into the second book in the Gold Country Cowboy series with you. This book was a hoot to write. It’s got a nice twisty mystery and plenty of danger! Our hero, twin Owen Thorn, is a Marine doing his darnedest not to fall in love with his brother’s little sister, but you know how these things go, don’t you, partners? There’s trouble ahead in cowboy country and this story will take you on a wild gallop to the happy ending! God bless and thanks for coming along!
