About the Book
Author: Rena Groot
Genre: Apocalyptic Fiction based on the Book of Revelation
Release date: 2021
Convergence-A Window Into Eternity offers a glimpse into an apocalyptic world that was foretold thousands of years ago. As the climactic showdown between good and evil approaches, the convergence of prophetic signs is accelerating at an alarming pace. Yet, beyond the nightmare, a time of beauty, peace, and love awaits. The book invites readers to witness the unfolding drama as the curtain is pulled back. Within its pages, there are numerous messages to ponder—from trusting God no matter the circumstances to being strong and courageous in the face of adversity. The book reminds us that this life is fleeting, and eternity is at stake. The chapter called The Bride Price describes what Jesus endured to purchase our freedom. The book also reveals the despicable nature of Satan and offers a glimpse into the potential future under the rule of the Antichrist. Most importantly, Convergence-A Window Into Eternity showcases the beauty of Heaven and what it could be like to see Jesus.

This is the third novel in an end times series and to understand this one, the previous ones should be read first. This novel is a bit different than the others in that there is just a little bit of the continuing story of Josh and his family. Rather, we read mostly about the apostle John. The initial part of the book alternates between Josh and John and then focuses on John on Patmos. We see how he was exiled and we experience the visions he received from God. Since this is the final book in the series, we read about God's judgment and heaven and hell.
There was an interesting explanation for the puzzling passage in Genesis 6 about “sons of God” cohabiting with the daughters of men. Groot suggests that if the DNA of mankind was altered, humans would no longer be redeemable. Therefore God sent the flood to destroy the genetically altered humans. (899/2787) She notes the plans to alter DNA again through scientific methods, changing God's creation.
This has been an entertaining and informative series of novels portraying a possible future as well as a fictional account of John on Patmos. The series will be especially appreciated by those who hold the pre-tribulation rapture view of the end times. It contains a serious message about rejecting God's invitation to salvation with many penetrating questions at the end to personally answer or discuss in a group.
My rating: 4/5 stars.
