My Review:
The authors identify this book as not a definitive guide to self publishing but more the broad strokes needed to get you going in the right direction. (18) I like it. The authors give plenty of questions so readers can discover what they want to do with their book with respect to publishing. They include informative illustrations to identify the aspects of working with a traditional publisher and self publishing. The authors include lots of ideas for marketing and suggest how to make a plan for it. Questions are again used so readers can determine how they want to market their book. There are checklists for use along the way and plenty of examples at the end of the book. A surprise for me was how to use Amazon as a resource, not as a sales vehicle alone.
I recommend this book to aspiring authors. It will give you a good overall picture of what is involved in getting your book to reviewers and readers, how to market and publicize your book. While not definitive, it will get you going in the right direction on your publishing journey.
My rating: 4/5 stars.
