My Review:

Smoak gives readers another great collection of devotions centered on God's promises and His steadfast presence in our lives. She imaginatively recounts experiences of many Bible characters and then shares lessons we can learn from them. We learn to trust God when surrounded by enemies from the life of Jeremiah. We are encouraged to stay close to God and listen for His word, realizing resolution may take decades. From Peter we learn to keep our eyes open to unusual opportunities in finances and other areas of life.

Those are just a couple of the insightful devotions from Smoak. She includes thoughtful reflection questions after each devotion as well as a touching prayer. Readers who would like encouragement to remember and trust in God's promises will find encouragement to do so in this book.
