Angels by Ed Rocha

This is a good introduction to the reality and work of angels from a Charismatic viewpoint. Rocha reviews what the Bible says about angels and tells lots of stories about angels and their ministry today. He writes about guardian angels, angels and worship, angels and healing, spiritual warfare, miracles, and manifestations like feathers and gems.

Rocha shares many of his own stories of seeing and experiencing angels. We may tend to ignore the work of angels and this book is a good reminder of how present and active they are in our lives. They are of the spirit realm and we cannot see them unless God opens our eyes or they manifest in the physical realm. Rocha does mention an apparent recording of an angel in action. Rocha encourages us to live at a level of faith and ask the Father for angelic action. “It is time for you to acknowledge the ministry of angels and to expect that God will send them to minister to you.”

I recommend this book to Christians who are interested in the ministry of angels today. You will be encouraged to ask God to open your eyes. Rocha even provides a written prayer for you. Some of the angelic manifestations may seem out of the ordinary for conservative evangelicals. Rocha does a good job of convincing readers to the reality of angelic ministry today.
