The Book Supremacy by Kate Carlisle

This is a mystery for book lovers. Brooklyn is a book restoration expert and there is much in this novel about materials and techniques for such restoration. Readers who like great settings will appreciate the places Brooklyn and her new husband visit during their honeymoon in Paris.

The plot got off to a slow start. The murder does not happen until nearly half way through. There is no suspense. This is definitely a character driven mystery. Readers who like cozy mysteries including a bit of international flavor might like this one. I did enjoy the romp through an escape room but otherwise did not find the book very exciting.

My rating: 3/5 stars.
