My Review:
I like this series from Black as they take place in Puget Sound. I am vary familiar with the Deception Pass bridge as I have driven over it or walked it scores of times. (The banner above on this blog is Deception Pass Bridge.) Talking about death in relation to it is a serious topic. While people do use the bridge to end their lives, Black has a different take. Some people are targeting the elderly to get their money. When the elderly person is no longer useful, they are thrown off the bridge to the turbulent water below.
Austin is now a detective with the sheriff's department so this is more of a police procedural rather than a private investigator style. Black creates a good plot as the villains are identified.
