My Review
I really liked this touching novel. The plot is engaging and a good illustration of the problems that can occur when past events are kept hidden from loved ones. I really liked the characters. The authors have crafted them well. Both Caroline and Linda had plans for the future but life did not go as they had planned. I appreciate how they dealt with unexpected changes. And the support characters were good too. I liked the clever dialogue between Caroline and Chris and the smart remarks from Maddox.
This novel deals with a number of relationship issues. Adoption is one, including the possible reactions when one is reconnected with the birth parents. Another is forgiveness, especially after of a misunderstanding from years past. There are sibling relationships and marital relationships and even business relationships included. They all come together as part of an engaging novel.
Be sure to have your box of tissues handy as you near the end of the book.
My rating: 5/5 stars.
