Rice
writes, “This book is designed to be an open conversation, using
current cultural references and stories to draw us into a thoughtful
conversation about what the Gospel really is and how it radically
alters our everyday lives.” (Loc 55/2095)
Rice
is a good story teller. He tells stories about his own experiences,
such as driving I-287 in a rain storm. He also retells historical
stories, such as Scott's attempt to reach the South Pole. He then
relates a truth of the Gospel to the story.
This
would be a good book for people who are not familiar with the Bible.
Discussing this book with another would be a nonthreatening way to
begin a conversation about the Gospel.
